PROFILE
Canadian French specialist with more than 20 years of experience.
I help clients communicate accurately, naturally, and appropriately in Canadian French not just grammatically correct French, but French that sounds like it was written for the people who will actually read it.
Since 2005, I have worked across healthcare, market research, legal, human resources, wellness, nutrition, consumer content, and corporate communications. My work goes well beyond word-for-word translation. I adapt tone, terminology, cultural references, regulatory language, idiomatic expressions, and regional usage so the final text reads as if it were originally written for a Canadian French audience.

CANADIAN FRENCH EXPERTISE
Canadian French is not just “French with a few different words.” It has its own terminology, idioms, typography conventions, tone expectations, and regulatory language. I help clients avoid text that sounds too European, too literal, too translated, or simply off to a Canadian reader.
I am also the author of Les canadianismes français (2013), a published reference on French Canadianisms and the distinct vocabulary of Canadian French. ISBN: 9781304657435.
